Bonsai indoors over winter- cherry

Hey! I’m a newbie. I have a young (2 yr) cherry in a cascade form.it suffered a bit when I moved and I’m working to bring it back. It has been outside all summer and it had clearly liked that.

It almost died last winter. It was in an indoor greenhouse but didn’t get watered. I’m working to bring it back, so I know it’s not the prettiest thing right now.

I’m in the middle of NH. It can’t stay outside over winter.
Aside from using a grow light while it’s inside for the winter, any recommendations?

This doesn’t look like a cherry. It looks like an Australian brush cherry which is NOT a cherry as you think. It is a Eugenia myrtifolia or syzygium. a tropical species that can’t take frost or freezing. It should be inside and treated as a tropical. Not exposed to cold and kept humid with a lot of light

There are a lot of species in this family. Some from Australia, some from South America. Many have cherry in the common name because they produce fruit - Brush cherry, Brazil cherry, Surinam cherry, etc.
Most should be treated similar. Some can cope with very light frost but better to be well above freezing so, as mentioned above, treat them as tropicals. Frost free in winter, repot in warmer weather.
