Shohin japanese maple

Hi,

Just wanted to share a couple of pics of my shohin Japanese maple. I believe is a Kiyohime. The first pic was taken in early September and the second in November of last year. It's total height is 7" tall including pot.

I love it!

It seems to me though that the lower right side is pretty full of leaves compared to the rest of the tree.....have you thought about thinning that out a little to balance the tree. Could also be the picture.

Very nice little tree.

I agree, the bottom right branch seems a little too condensed and could make the trees image stronger if it was thinned out a little. Great looking Shohin specimen though

Thanks guys for your kind words! Yes I agree and in fact I had thinned that branch out when the leaves dropped. I had also noticed a few long bare twigs on other parts of the tree that I cut back severely this Spring in the hopes of getting more ramification.
