Some of My Better Trees for Sale

To the OP. Your trees a simply stunning!! The images you create are the kind that inspire me to try my hand at this amazing art form. I so want a Larch!! Keep it up.

Sadly, Will (G52) is gone from this forum. I miss him, his trees, and his humor very much.

I always enjoyed his posts. Hopefully just gone from the forum and not the hobby. Any clarity on this (why)?

I saw an interesting shore pine of his on conseignment at bonsai NW (retail).

Wasn't he also an Elandanian? If so, that's three we've lost from there. :( I miss Eric and Vic as well as grouper.

Yes, and a huge loss it is. If he is keeping tabs, that's wonderful to hear, we can only hope that for whatever reason he (they) left, it will only be temporary? I would not want to speak for Will or anyone on what the reasons were, but would only wish to beg for a homecoming.
However, I must admit for myself that this forum is becoming somewhat tiresome as it quarrels along...

Honestly, if I had some of the material vic and ang have...if I could work on the trees at Elandan every weekend with Dan Robinson..........I'd be spending alot less time on line:).

Occassionally i get to work with eric's better half at the weyerhauser collection. I'm thinking we're both scheduled on the 27th.

I agree... didn't Will sell all of his trees and run off to some island somewhere? Or did I misread something he said in one of his posts...?

I came by to answer a friend request and check messages, and decided to check in on this thread again.

My entire collection - sans a few sales and the usual few winter casualties - is still available one tree at a time for the right price and local pickup. Anyone seriously interested in any specific tree can PM me - I do stop by occasionally to check such things.

I may, indeed, advertise my trees on Ebay for local pickup this summer after the Seattle auction, at which I hope to move a few of my better trees as well.

The first printing of Gnarly Branches is almost sold out now, and I have bequeathed the rights to the book and its photos to Dan's family. Whether they will find it feasible to do another printing or a new edition is hard to say: anyone who thought the book was expensive the first time around will probably be glad they got a copy before prices went up. :)

Y'all take care.

An update: A few people have responded with PMs or emails.

I decided to simply post about 22 of my fairly finished trees. I took quick, down-and-dirty photos of them this weekend, and will post a few each day over the next few days. Most have threads of their own from years gone by if someone would like to research them further. All are for local pick-up only.

Not pictured will be: 1. The old four tree Alpine fir penjing, healthy but in need of some TLC to bring it back to it's prime - $1000; 2. The Vine maple, which is still in a training pot, and looks even more refined this year, 16" tall - $1000; 3. The katsura, further refined, 32" tall - $1200.

I also have a number of gorgeous burl slabs for displaying bonsai, or anything else: I'll post pix of those in a few days as well. And I'm selling a few of my better antique mudmen, which I'll also post. The burls and mudmen can be shipped anywhere in the US.

Tonight, it's late: I'll just post three trees, and start the rest tomorrow.

1. Japanese maple with rock, pot is nothing special. 17" tall. $350.

2. Seiju Chinese Elm Triple Trunk, pot is nothing special. 20" tall. $700.

3. Scots Pine, Tokoname Pot. (Walter Pall praised this one). 25" tall. $1400.

That false cypress is one of my favorite all-time bonsai. Hope it finds a good home!
