I have a few shohin that are in the works, but this one is the closest to being “finished.” Boxwood ‘Compacta’ in a commercial Chinese pot with an autumn accent.

I was playing around with displaying trees with instruments and this is my shohin Mugo Pine in front of a Bodhran, a traditional Irish drum.
Love the drum as a background. It seems to work even with the painting on the head.

Final prep for a show tomorrow. Cascade Field maple (Acer campestre) and informal broom-style Sloe (Prunus spinosa). All pots by Erin ceramics. Tall stand by Doug Mudd, low stands by me. Scroll illustration Doris Maeter. DSC_1861.jpeg

Ah, you're going to the Expo show? Have fun and good job on getting your display in there! Btw, is the pictured area in your house or at a show? It's looking very good!
