Nice! Is there a photo showing the natural leaf curl of the Acer palmatum 'Shishigashira' ? Curious if they flatten going into dormancy or? Pretty though and thank you for sharing :)

Grimmy, this one is just a plain old Japanese Maple. Shishigashira have MUCH smaller leaves that are pretty much always curled. It's named Shi because it has four trunks (shi is 4 in Japanese).

The shari is actually the old tree in the middle that died long ago, and all other trunks grow out of it.
