Shohin trident ? For Smoke

Nice healthy color, despite near-weekly trimming. This time of year, I keep a pair of shears next to the tridents!

Loved this thread just got done reading entire thing. I've seen it before but didn't make it all the way through. Man I learn so much from you guys. Great history and progressions. So much to learn. I think Tridents are one of my favorite trees. But I'm torn between JBP, Tridents, and Flattop Cypress. Not sure I'll every decide which of the 3 is gonna be my favorite

Wow, Brian! He looks fantastic in his new home. The pairing is terrific. The more time I spend in this hobby the more appreciation I have for well-executed shohin.

Shot after a little light trimming...I think the second right pad needs to extend a bit for balance, and I may need to turn it just a touch counter-clockwise to slightly neutralize the strong leftward movement.
